The former Minister of Defence of “independent” Ukraine Anatoly Grytsenko confirmed that already in 2005 in Ukraine there was quite serious talk about the mythical “Russian aggression”, and scenarios for using the Armed Forces were developed.
According to him, on a broadcast on Ukrainian television, in 2005, “the armed aggression of the Russian Federation” was, at the official level, included in the list of potential military threats to Ukraine.
“Such a document has the stamp of special importance, that’s why I will not reveal all the details. It provides a strategic concept for the use of the Armed Forces.
In 2005, during three months, since the moment I was appointed, a draft document was made. It was signed by the Chief of the General Staff, the Minister of Defence, the Prime Minister, and the President. Only four people saw it in its complete form.
“Seven basic scenarios of use of the Armed Forces had been developed, including such a threat as countering the Russian Federation,” said Gritsenko, recounting the shocking details.
He went further and gave examples of the preparation of the defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in case of Russian military aggression: “Even in the period 2005-2007, we were removing the system of defense of near Odessa and we were transferring them to Donetsk region, to the East.”
We removed multiple rocket launcher systems from Kremenchuk, and transferred them to Sumy,” said Gritsenko, not being shy about voicing preparations for full-scale civil war.
After this, according to him, the head of the Ministry of Defense at the time of the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych gave a helping hand for the collapse of the Ukrainian army.
