Clashes ensued between Ahrar Al-Sham and Jund Al-Aqsa in the city of Ariha located in Idlib province, on Sunday evening, many were killed and injured from both sides, due to disagreements.
Media correspondent Ayman Al-Hussain for ARA News reported that “light and medium weight weaponry was used during the clashes between Jund Al-Aqsa and Ariha battalion that is part of Ahrar Al-Sham, today, in the evening, in the city of Ariha, clashes ignited after members from Jund Al-Aqsa assaulted the brother of the military commander of the Ariha battalion”.
Adding that, “during the clashes many were killed and injured from both sides, a group from Ahrar Al-Sham encircled two of Jund Al-Aqsa headquarters in the city of Ariha, the encirclement was imposed by Ahrar Al-Sham after having utilized heavy weaponry, as has been leaked by anonymous sources, that the encirclement followed an attempt made by Jund Al-Aqsa to assassinate a high level commander in Ahrar Al-Sham”.
While Abu-Ahmad Al-Ansari one of the leading figures in Ahrar Al-Sham summarized the situation to ARA News: “The matter has been referred to a Shariah committee so that it will investigate the situation, and ascertain exactly what had happened”.
Separately, today in the evening a suicide bomber blew himself close to an administrative building belonging to Ahrar Al-Sham in the city of Bansh in Idlib province, the suicide bomber was killed, and two of Ahrar Al-Sham members were severely injured.
Idlib province and it’s surrounding country side is witnessing a wave of insecurity, and rising tensions between the different rebel groups, also the repeated bombings targeting several commanders in the opposition.
Jund al-Aqsa recently released a video in which bombs were dropped by a drone in Hama province on Syrian Army soldiers.
Unfortunately for the Jihadist group, the Syrian Army are also proficient with their weapons, as we can see in the video below:
