Ukrainian journalists were shocked by a call from the LPR that was made on the air of the NewsOne TV channel, where they were discussing the conflict between Kiev and Warsaw because of the UPA monuments.

In the studio the pensioner from Krasnodon presented as Yury phoned in and stated that civil war in Ukraine began because of the actions of nationalists. According to him, the country lived peacefully until the nationalist ideology overstepped the boundaries of the western regions. But when Banderism became the state ideology, the southeast rebelled.

“Good morning. Lugansk People’s Republic, city of Krasnodon. Pensioner Yury. You know, when all Shukhevych and Bandera remained in Lvov, we continued to live peacefully. But when it reached the level of Ukraine, not only Poles, but we also rose up against Shukhevych and Bandera. This is why the civil war happened, because of nationalists,” stated the inhabitant of the LPR.

“It is for the first time that we were called by someone who presents themselves as a resident of the LPR,” stated the host, the face of which obviously changed.

“From the so-called LPR,” said the colleague in the studio, immediately correcting him.

“Yes, we have here the so-called LPR. Here is a question – Who do you consider, after all, to be guilty of such a confrontation between nations. In particular, Poles and Ukrainians. Who is guilty – the Polish authorities or the Ukrainian ones? What will you say here?” asked the host again, pretending not to hear anything that the pensioner just said.

“I will say that it is the Ukrainian one. Both Poles and we in Donbass…” said the pensioner, who’s answer was cut off.

“Thanks, connect the next caller,” immediately said the host, having stopped the conversation.
