On May 16th the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament voted for providing macro-financial aid to Ukraine in the sum to €1 billion. This was reported on Twitter by the “Radio Svoboda” journalist Rikard Jozwiak.

According to the information on the website of the European Parliament, the EU will provide macro-financial aid to Ukraine for a total amount of €1 billion, which will be provided in the form of medium-term and long-term credits. It is planned to pay the aid to Ukraine in two tranches. It is expected that the first tranche will be paid in the second half of 2018, and the second – in the first half of 2019.
