42 Civilians Successfully Evacuated From East Aleppo

Translated by Ollie Richardson

The Russian Center for conciliation of the conflicting parties in Syria together with Mukhabarat (Security Service of Syria) in the evening on October 24th conducted a special operation on the evacuation of civilians from the eastern part of Aleppo blockaded by fighters “Jabhat Fatah al-Sham”.

During the operation from the area Bustan al-Qasr in Aleppo, 42 people were evacuated, the majority being children and women. Immediately after the evacuation medical care was provided to some of the liberated. All civilians who managed to leave during transfer from the Bustan al-Qasr area received warm blankets and humanitarian rations, and then were sent to the humanitarian center at the Consulate.

There is good reason to believe that the fighters who didn’t manage to prevent the operation can respond with a series of provocations for the successful withdrawal of civilians from the city. Including demonstrative executions of civilians, and mortar attacks by Islamist groups on the western quarters of Aleppo, controlled by the governmental Syrian army aren’t excluded.

At the moment in Aleppo six corridors for the exit of civilians continue to work around-the-clock, however evacuation is interfered with by fighters prohibiting the civilian population from leaving the city’s territory under the control of terrorists.

However, the opportunity for fighters to leave Aleppo still remains so far. The Russian Air Force and Syrian aircraft stopped fighting departures for the period of the humanitarian pause extended for some days.

The Federal News Agency published exclusive footage of civilians in Aleppo who managed to escape from the territory controlled by terrorists.
