The Security Service of Ukraine has confiscated a classified document about cooperation between the British secret service and the Ukrainian special services from the captain of the SBU Andrey Vaskovsky, who is suspected of high treason. This is stated in the court materials.

It is specified that the SBU asked the court to seize the things confiscated from the office of the operative of the counterintelligence department of the Ukrainian special services, the captain Vaskovsky, who is suspected of cooperating with the FSB of Russia since the end of 2016.

In particular, a document from April of the current year about cooperation between Ukrainian and British intelligence was confiscated from the defendant.

“A document… with the access restriction signature stamp ‘Top secret’, containing information about cooperation between the UK Secret Intelligence Service and the Security Service of Ukraine concerning a specific legal entity and individual,” it is said in the court materials.

Which person intelligence cooperated with isn’t specified. The court arrested the seized document, having noted that it can be proof of the illegal actions of the suspect. Two mobile phones, a notebook, 5 flash dries, and 11 hard drives were also confiscated from Vaskovsky. The suspect was detained on August 13th and arrested on August 18th.
