The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Evgeny Balitsky [“Opposition Bloc” – ed] compared the current Ukrainian authorities to a fascist occupation. He made such a statement on the air of the “NewsOne” TV channel.
Balitsky reminded that Ukrainian citizens are leaving the country in large quantities.
“We lose not only independence, we also lose the country. Because the country is not a territory. It is people first of all,” said the deputy.
The parliamentarian believes that the actions of the Ukrainian administration led by Petro Poroshenko can be compared to the activity of fascists – they also rename streets, dismantle monuments, and forbid languages.
“All of us remember how fascists behaved in our country. They renamed streets – this is also done by these. They dismantled monuments – this is also done by these. They erased our memory. They forbade our languages – this is also done by these,” reminded Balitsky.
According to him, Ukraine is under the occupation of its own government, which forces people to leave the country.
