Air Defense Forces in Crimea Transferred to Strengthened Operating Mode for Ukrainian Missile Launch

Troops of the Air Defense of the Russian Federation in Crimea were transferred to a strengthened operating mode because of the plans of Ukraine to launch a missile. This was reported by TASS, citing a source in law enforcement bodies.

“The air defense forces of Russia in Crimea were transferred into a strengthened operating mode. This concerns not only ground-based air defenses, but also ships, as the ships of the Black Sea fleet are self-sufficient combat units capable of repelling such threats,” quotes the agency from the words of the source.

According to the agency, the decision to strengthen the operating mode of air defenses was made despite the fact that the plans of Ukraine are regarded as a kind of PR stunt.

Recall that on November 25th, Kiev announced that in early December it unilaterally intends to hold missile firing training, which can even take place close to Crimea.
