The Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios said on the air of the TV channel “112 Ukraine” that 150 kilometers of the Ukrainian border with Hungary is actually “private” land, border guards don’t have full access to them, and such a situation is inadmissible.

The day prior in Budapest the action “Self-determination for Transcarpathia” took place. The Hungarian far-right party Jobbik was its organizer. Earlier the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Pavel Klimkin said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note of protest to Hungary with the demand to forbid the holding of the action “Self-determination for Transcarpathia”. He expressed confidence that Hungary will continue to respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

According to Matios, the section of the border with Hungary in the Transcarpathian region is in fact in private hands, and border guards don’t have full access to it.

“So, actually 150 kilometers are land plots, the town council allocated 2 hectares to locals, after which they were accumulated in individual hands, communcations that were built there, as well as clusters generally of the ‘gulay pole’ times. It is when the baron, as the gypsies say, decides who will be the mayor on this territory, and who will lead the center of these people, who look enthusiastically at the ‘giving’ hand,” cites the website of the TV channel from Matios’ words.

According to Matios, he intends to report this to the Prosecutor-General Yury Lutsenko. “I insist, the Prosecutor General instructed me, I will report to him about this situation tomorrow. I consider that this cannot happen, it cannot continue,” said Matios.
