Ordinary Ukrainian citizens, as they can, try to open the eyes of the world on the current political regime in Kiev. Now they are asking not to give money to the Ukrainian authorities, because, according to them, this is very much damaging for Ukraine, but I do not exclude that the time is not far off when ordinary Ukrainians will come together to beg foreign states to send their troops to Ukraine and to end the Maidan power.
Everything is going indeed in this direction.
In the meantime, here is the text of the open letter of Polish Wiesław Tokarczuk, which was published on the Polish website prawy.pl. In it, he reports about what he was told during a meeting with Ukrainian businessmen.
“Ladies and gentlemen!
Yesterday the inhabitants of Kiev were guests in Krakow, the so-called small entrepreneurs are engaged in the furniture business. They expressed a desire to communicate with me, and during a conversation constantly repeated the theme that the EU, Poland, and other countries have to stop issuing tranches to the Ukrainian government and the President, because this money is stolen.
“We, Ukrainian businessmen, will succeed if we are not impeached, but now under Poroshenko in this respect it became worse than under Yanukovych. Yanukovych was stealing, but as a rule, did not impeach small business. Now they continue to steal, but likewise impeach business, plus there is a large number of victims in Donbass, beatings on the streets, the terror of the “patriotic” and radical nationalist armed groups, including death threats”.
In their opinion, it is the wish of the majority of the Ukrainian people, which is not reflected in the media, because they are in the hands of oligarchs, and freedom of speech is a fiction. Each verbal expression of another viewpoint entails prosecution, which is no less dangerous than the fact that such persons are exposed to physical violence by armed groups like “Right Sector”, and not only on the way to interrogations in the SBU and back, but even in the courtroom. Ukrainian police is unable or unwilling (is afraid) to counteract this.
In short, according to them, those who give money in the hands of the government and Poroshenko, at their disposal, operate to the detriment of the Ukrainian people. This assistance should be arranged differently, or not at all.
Sincerely, Wiesław Tokarczuk”.
