A memorial plaque in Belgorod-Dnistrovsky, Odessa region, which was installed at the scene of the massacre of 600 Jews in WWII, was destroyed by unknown people in the night of the 18th of January.

According to media outlet “Akkerman”, the city department of national police initiated an investigation into the incident. Currently an inspection is being carried out to establish the reasons that caused the destruction of the monument.

The employees of state improvement services who came to the scene collected fragments of the broken marble slab and brought them for storage to the building of the municipal establishment.

Further steps, most likely, will be taken for the restoration of the monument by the executive committee of the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky city council.
