During the military parade on the Independence Day of Ukraine in Kiev the Minister of Defence Stepan Poltorak used the new greeting “Glory to Ukraine”, in response to which law enforcement bodies shouted out “Glory to heroes”.

Besides military units, Poltorak addressed pupils of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and also cadets and employees of the National Guard of Ukraine, who aren’t a part of the structure of the country’s Ministry of Defence.

We feel an enormous boost from the national slogan ‘Glory to Ukraine – Glory to heroes’, and our enemies squirm because of it like the devil and incense,” said the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko from the tribune, having invoked public applause.
