More than 70 fighters of “Azov”, “Automaidan”, and “Self-Defense” stormed into the premises of the regional police in Cherkassy. Several cordons of employees of police were unable to restrain them.

Ukrainian nationalists are trying to prevent the appointment of Valery Lyuty as the head of the regional police. Last night outside the walls of the main police department in the Cherkassy region fighters arranged a real Maidan. They set fire to tires and began to break through several police cordons and stormed the building.

After that Lyuty came out for a discussion, stating that the police building had been seized. However, the nationalists began to laugh in his face and shouted “shame”. Between the new head of the Cherkassy police and activists there was a verbal altercation, after which the protesters pushed Lyuty outside to the street.

We will note that Valery Lyuty is accused that earlier he was an adviser to the mayor of Kharkov Gennady Kernes, and until recently was the head of the police of Krivoi Rog, where he was accused of “covering” the falsification of electoral results and beating the assistant to the People’s Deputy Yegor Sobolev.

In turn, the head of the national police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze promised to respond to the situation about the appointment of the new head of the department of the regional police in the Cherkassy region, taking into account the opinion of the public.
