The “War Gonzo” project publishes footage of the evacuation of a 13-year-old resident of Mariupol, who was wounded in the leg by an “Azov” sniper.
At that moment, the family was trying to leave one of the neighbourhoods of the city controlled by the militants. As a result of small arms fire, in addition to the girl, her 5-year-old brother was wounded (the bullet passed tangentially, fortunately, leaving only a scratch) and her grandmother. Moreover, Ukrainian sniper bullets pierced the woman’s two legs. Relatives took her out in a cart from the supermarket.
Such is the gloom now in Mariupol. The family was saved by the fact that a group of the 1st battalion of the special unit of Donetsk People’s Republic Armed Forces was in the vicinity and its fighter “Val” together with his guys promptly organised the evacuation – and now the lives of these Mariupol residents are finally safe.
