The US Agency for International Development (USAID) ratified a program of support for civil society in Belarus, in the framework of which it is planned to train 300 Belarusian activists and government employees to promote advance of democratic and economic reforms. The training itself will take place on the territory of the US within five years.

At the moment the agency is looking for an organization that will help with the selection of the Belarusian experts for the holding of the planned training.

“The purpose of the Community Connections program in Belarus is to support the activity of USAID/Belarus directed towards promoting democratic and economic reforms in Belarus by encouraging the participation of active citizens in democratic processes,” it is said in the grant.

Also, in the program of the pitch it is noted that USAID has already prepared 600 activists from Belarus between 2005 and 2016.
