The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to privatise the State enterprise “Ukrvaktsina”, having put in private hands a full cycle of the production of vaccines in Ukraine. This was reported by the People’s Deputy and head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on health protection Olga Bogomolets on Facebook.

“Among more than 200 enterprises that are included in plans for privatisation, half of them are strategic objects that are included in the Law of Ukraine ‘On a list of state-owned objects that aren’t subject to privatisation’. All ‘tasty’ enterprises are proposed to be excluded from the law and sold by auction next year. One of such unique enterprises that is wanted to be privatised – Ukrvaktsina – already appealed in despair to the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on health protection for help,” stated Bogomolets.

According to her, Ukrvaktsina is the only enterprise that guarantees the preservation of a cold chain during the supply of vaccines to the regions.

“Privatisation will put the fate of vaccination in private hands, and this is already a direct threat to the national security of Ukraine,” stressed the deputy.

Such actions by the government put the fate of the country in the hands of private business, stressed Bogomolets.

“I categorically oppose the plans of the government to undermine the public sector of the economy and to put the fate of the country in the hands of private business. In my opinion, such decisions are criminal, they contradict the national interests of the State, weaken it, and undermine the foundations of its economic security and independence,” added the deputy.

A British analytical center earlier stated that the medical reform of Ulana Suprun put Ukraine in 135th place from 148 countries in terms of the level of health care. Suprun herself made a statement: all who criticise the medical reform are working for Russia. Suprun considers that “agents of the Kremlin” criticise the medical reform in order to prevent Ukraine from becoming a part of the civilized world.
