Canada Will Contribute More Than $6 Million to National Police of Ukraine

Canada announced the provision of an additional 8.1 million CAD ($6.1 million) in support of the National Police of Ukraine. This was announced by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Stéphane Dion, from this $8.1 million, $6.6 million will be directed to the training of national police, and another $1.5 million will be allocated for police equipment.

“We closely cooperate with the National Police in order to make this service effective, serving the people, and representing the trust of society,” reads the statement of the Canadian Foreign Minister.
