The Canadian authorities plan to send military aid to Ukraine for the sum of more than $7 million…

This was reported by the Minister of National Defence Harjit Singh Sajjan.

“Within the framework of comprehensive support for Ukraine, Canada provided the UAF with non-lethal military equipment for the sum of more than $16 million, and things worth another $7.25 million will be delivered before the end of March, 2019,” said Sajjan.

According to him, Canada will continue to support Ukraine.

Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked the Canadian military instructors for helping to train the Ukrainian military.

“More than 5,000 UAF servicemen have undergone training with you (the Canadian military), more than 160 snipers were trained, and 120 servicemen were trained in tactical medicine. Thanks to the practical help of our Canadian partners we continue to develop and modernise the capabilities of the UAF,” said Poroshenko.

According to him, military instructors from the Royal Canadian Regiment, together with Ukrainian and foreign colleagues, are preparing a new stage of training for one more combat unit of the UAF.
