Children Under Ukrainian Shelling in the Petrovsky District of Donetsk

A little more than an hour ago [at the time of writing, May 6th 2021], the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the village of Mine No. 7 in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.

This was reported to our channel by the volunteer Andrey Lysenko, who was delivering food packages around the village and came under fire.

“They were hitting the residential sector on Safonov Street with bursts of BMP fire. Shells exploded in the air above my head. At this time, children were coming back from school. The locals hid them in their yard. The shelling damaged the fence of this yard and the ‘Zhiguli’ car next to it – a shell broke through its windshield on the way out. If the children had not been hidden, a tragedy could have happened. Thank you people whom I don’t know. You have done a real heroic deed.”

He added that while the shells were exploding in the air, parents were running along the street looking for their children.

“When the children had not yet all come from school, and small children from kindergartens, the beasts from the UAF opened fire on peaceful homes. Friends, this is heavy stuff, when I was filming my hands were shaking, you can’t show everything in the video. Mothers are calling for children, the children are hiding in the bushes. In the background, there are shouts everywhere, everybody is calling for children. And nearby there is a kindergarten, and there are kids  in it. UAF beasts, what the hell are you doing?”
