Denis Pushilin: The SBU Continues to Kidnap, Torture, and Condemn the Residents of Donbass

Ukrainian politicians shirk the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, dividing the prisoners who are subject to exchange into special categories. Thus, the SBU continues to kidnap people who, after being tortured, are forced to sign their own sentences.

This was stated to journalists by the chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

“As you know, quite recently in Dniprodzerzhynsk (was renamed into Kamianske) a 29 year-old was detained. She was subjected to torture by the SBU – she was taken to the Lugansk region, where she was tortured for several days. After that she was forced to give a self-convicting testimony. Immediately after this [the head of the SBU] Gritsak made concrete accusations. It is exactly here that there was an inconsistency, since only the next day a statement about her official arrest arrived,” said the chairman of the People’s Council.

Denis Pushilin considers this fact recognition that the SBU continues to torture citizens.

“Moreover, her beating was testified to by both the Red Cross and ‘Human rights’. Now this case was made public. This girl is recognized as having ‘committed especially serious crimes’, and she isn’t subject to an exchange. I’m not even talking about the guys from ‘Berkut’ who that side [Kiev – ed] still doesn’t want to hand over, which in Kiev actually up to the end were faithful to the oath and were defending the interests of the former Ukraine. According to them, people who were in Odessa who were burned, who are related to Kulikovo Field and others – aren’t subject to exchange. We don’t agree with this,” said Pushilin.
