The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine questioned the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the case of crimes during the events of Euromaidan.

As the General Prosecutor’s office informed, questioning of the head of the Ukrainian state was to be held on the 29th November on the premises of the GPU, however, it happened last night, on November 18th, in the Presidential administration.

It was noted that the investigators questioned Poroshenko as a witness for six hours on several events in the case of Maidan. Poroshenko was questioned about the events during the so-called “Revolution of Dignity”, which the head of state answered. The information obtained from Poroshenko, will be used in the investigation.

“The questions asked concerned those events where Petro Poroshenko was a witness, and we received the answers. These answers will be used in the course of the investigation,” declared the head of the department of special investigations Sergey Gorbatyuk on the air of “112 Ukraine”.

It is worth nothing that the Prosecutor General’s Office has repeatedly called Poroshenko for questioning on the case of the events of 2013-2014, however until last night the questioning had not taken place.
