Former Verkhovna Rada Deputy Oles Doniy, who now works as a host of one of the programs on Ukrainian TV [Shuster Live – ed] stated that the events of 2nd May, 2014, in Odessa, when nationalists burned people in the House of Trade Unions, is an act of heroism of the Ukrainian people.

Doniy literally said: “Ukrainians are a heroic nation, but this is a one-off explosion of heroism. People who throw themselves at a pillbox; who went out on Grushevskaya, Institutskaya Street are real heroes. People who in Odessa, at the time, hit on the teeth of Russian separatism and others who came here are also heroes.”

It would be only half the trouble if Oles Doniy had expressed only his own opinion. But he expressed the opinion of all the Ukrainian neo-Nazi elite. At the time, the Nazi Iryna Farion, the current politician and former convict Yulia Tymoshenko, current President Petro Poroshenko, and many others were rejoiced in the mass burning of Odessans, calling this brutal crime “the protection of administrative buildings” and “a victory against separatism”.
