On Monday, February 18th, a procession of nationalists came to the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kiev. It was a rally connected to the fight of “C14” and the police outside the building of the Podolsky regional department on February 9th.

Back then one of the special forces soldiers shouted “Lay down, Bandera!”. Hence the name of the rally – “Bandera, get up!”.

And although the police officer was already arrested by the court and the Ministry of Internal Affairs organised the apologetic flashmob “I am a Banderist”, the nationalists decided to show their strength. The hint in general is clear – radicals want to continue to remain untouchable.
“All the years after Maidan – 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 – we knew that “Berkut” (the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who defended Kiev during Euromaidan, before disbanding) continues to exist. We saw how they said: “Damn Maidan protesters, all of this is because of you,” said the representative of “C14” Evgeny Karas.
Also, according to the representative of “C14”, on the police radio before the detention of radicals at the rally in Kiev it was heard: “pack these birds”.
