Igor Kolomoisky Called Poroshenko His “Marionette” Because of the Abolition of the Nationalisation of “Privatbank”

The Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky called the president Petro Poroshenko his marionette. He said this during a telephone interview to the epravda agency after the District Administrative Court of Kiev recognised the nationalisation of Privatbank as illegal (violating the norms of current legislation).

To the journalist’s questions “How can the ruling on the recognition of nationalisation as illegal be explained?” and “Has Poroshenko’s influence on the Ukrainian courts weakened?”, Kolomoisky answered:

No. He is just my marionette, and in the last month before the end of his powers he will do whatever he’s told. He considered that someone is his marionette. I consider that he is my marionette. He will do everything that he is told. He will atone for his guilt

He specified that the current president should come out to the people of Ukraine and say that he arranged the nationalisation of “Privatbank” together with the then head of the National Bank Valeriya Gontareva, in order to “profit from someone else’s property”, just like how he arranged “marauding in Ukroboronprom.

“There was never a ‘1+1’ [the TV channel owned by Kolomoisky – ed] package” in Privatbank’s deposits. If you remember, at the end of 2016 the license of ‘1+1’ was not prolonged for a long time. It was Poroshenko who gave the command not to prolong it,” he summed up.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at 21.00 on April 18th convened a meeting in the National Security and Defence Council in connection with the situation around “PrivatBank”.
