In Ukraine the wave of political arrests continues. The Izyumsky district court of the Kharkov region has convicted a pensioner to five years in jail “for infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine”.

According to the information filed in the unified state register of judgments, a woman under the nickname of “Brezhneva” created the “Ukraina 3D” group on the social network VKontakte where she posted “information of a separatist and anti-State character”.

In these groups there were calls for the formation, instead of the Kharkov, Lugansk, and Donetsk regions, of the same named Republics as independent state entities. In this regard, the Izyumsky court sentenced the pensioner to five years of imprisonment, but is exempted from the imposed sentence with a probation period of one year.
