Translated by Ollie Richardson

On Thursday, March 29th, the Football Federation of Ukraine appealed to the Fare Network (Football Against Racism in Europe) with a request to ban the exhibition of symbols of “separatists” of the DPR and LPR at football matches. This was reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Ukraine.

“On March 29th, the Football Federation of Ukraine sent a letter to FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe – an organisation that fights racism and xenophobia in European football) with a request to add symbols of the so-called ‘DPR’ and ‘LPR’ to the list of symbols banned from being exhibited at football matches.

Earlier, on March 16th, the Football Federation of Ukraine appealed to UEFA with a request to open disciplinary proceedings due to the fact of symbols of the so-called ‘DPR’ being exhibited during the Champions League quarter-final match Roma vs Shakhtar, which took place in Rome on March 13th, 2018.

The Football Federation of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the fans who on March 19th also drew attention to this fact and initiated the filing of the corresponding complaint in front of the international football institutions.”
