On June 10th the security officers of the LPR stopped an attempt by suspicious persons to plant an unidentified device on a high-pressure gas pipe in an inhabited area in the center of Lugansk. This was reported by the official representative of the People’s militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko from the place of events.

“Today I received a message that in the city of Lugansk down Chelyuskintsev Street (house number 12) there were suspicious people who tried to put something under a high pressure gas pipe near a house.

Operational services worked very quickly. The persons who tried to carry out the intended planting fled from the scene.

“Thus the operational services prevented, perhaps, another terrorist attack in Lugansk,” stated the Lieutenant-Colonel.

Sappers of the Lugansk police didn’t find any explosive devices at the scene, operational actions were carried out.

“The scene has been surveyed, traces of explosives weren’t found. The work of the operational-investigations group continues,” reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR.
