A video was uploaded to the Internet showing a militant from the “Azov” regiment addressing the players of Croatian national team against the background of the flag of the Ustaše – nationalists who were engaged in genocide at the time of World War II.

The video message of the militant Denis Sheler, who has Croatian citizenship, was published on the “Suchasna Armiya” page on Facebook. He said that he has served in the “Azov” regiment for four years as a volunteer. He is stood near his colleagues, who are holding a flag of Ustaše – ultra-right nationalists who cooperated with Germany and Italy during World War II.

“Together with my Ukrainian brothers-in-arms and brothers-in-arms volunteers from other countries, we want to support the players of the Croatian national team, in particular the players Domagoj Vida and Ognjen Vukojević. After one big victory you both didn’t forget about Ukraine, which now faces large problems because of Russian aggression. You didn’t forget your friends and the country that gave you very good conditions for life. Guys, keep it up. We stand with you. And we invite you to our place. Glory to Ukraine!” said the Croatian.
