Situation at the Mariupol front-line: the enemy lost one BMP and over twenty personnel on the back of the first failed offensive. Ditching their killed and wounded, the enemy made a retreat back. At 14.30 on January 31st, they attempted another failed offensive towards our positions in vicinity of the village of Kominternovo with use of up to one platoon of personnel in coordination with two BMPs. When approaching our positions, they detonated land mines. As a result of gunfire from our positions, the enemy lost seven dead and ten wounded.
Our intelligence records a panic in the UAF ranks. According to our sources from the enemy’s headquarter, seventeen servicemen deserted from UAF troops. There is a preparation of mutiny in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade because of their disagreement with their command’s actions. According to our preliminary data, a commander of the 1st Battalion of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade is detained by Ukraine counter-intelligence for trying to desert.
