The head of the General Staff of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko declared today that the management of Ukraine will begin work on gathering evidence of the Ukrainian military personnel’s innocence, against which the Investigate Committee of the Russian Federation opened criminal cases for violating the laws of warfare.

As the Interfax news agency reports, during the course of the meeting with military attaches of foreign states, Muzhenko said that the law enforcement agencies of Russia initiated such proceedings in relation to 37 UAF servicemen.

“We are not talking about six, but more than 30 soldiers, against whom criminal cases were opened by the Investigate Committee of the Russian Federation. According to our information, there are 37 such people. I consider that in this situation the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine should do the corresponding work and to gather information on the innocence of military personnel fulfilling a duty to the country,” stated the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army.
