Nationalists Protested Outside the Rada With the Demand to Strip All Deputies of Their Immunity

A meeting with the demand to deprive a deputy from the “Opposition Bloc” faction of his immunity [and also all Deputies in general – ed] took place at the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Kiev, and also at the Ministry of Health there was a protest against the medical reform, reported local media on Thursday.

According to the Ukrainian UNIAN agency, on Thursday at the building of the Rada about 200 people gathered, holding flags with symbols of the extremist organization “Right Sector”, the Nationalist Party “Svoboda”, and the “Movement of New Forces”. Also at the building of parliament about 100 people in t-shirts with the inscription “National Corpus”, created on the basis of the Azov nationalist battalion, against which in the Russian Federation a criminal case was opened, burned flares.

On the website of the TV channel “112 Ukraine” it is reported that at the building of the Ministry of Health representatives of the labor unions of Ukraine gathered, who oppose the medical reform.

The Verkhovna Rada at a meeting on June 13th intends to consider the the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Ukraine’s idea about the removal of parliamentary immunity for criminal prosecution of the deputy from “Opposition Bloc” faction Mikhail Dobkin.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko submitted to the parliament a proposal to remove the inviolability for criminal prosecution of deputies from the faction “Opposition Bloc” — Dobkin, from “People’s Front” — Evgeny Deydey and Maksim Polyakov, from the “Bloc of Petro Poroshenko” — Borislav Rosenblatt, from the “Radical Party” — Andrey Lozovy, and the non-factional deputy Oles Dovgy.
