The former Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolay Azarov said that the FBI is investigating the embezzlement of loan money in Ukraine.
“For last year, for example, $3 billion was taken out of the country. Where did I obtain this information from? I invented it? No, I did not invent it, I took the information from the National Bank of Ukraine, I looked at the current accounts and calmly calculated: it turns out that Ukraine took 2 billion of some loan from the IMF and 1 billion from the World Bank – so this is 3, but 3.5 billion was taken away. Where was it taken away to? In offshores,” said Azarov in an interview with the “112 Ukraine” TV channel.
As Azarov claims, foreign creditors are concerned by this and are carrying out an inspection.
