On the morning of April 8th, about 30 people blocked the entrance to the Rossotrudnichestvo building in Kiev where an educational event of “Total dictation” was due to take place on the same day. This was reported by TASS with reference to information from the building of Rossotrudnichestvo.
“About 30 people blocked the entrance to the building, nobody can get to the Total dictation presentation that had to take place today at 14:00 Moscow time,” said Rossotrudnichestvo.
The organization claims that “radicals chant offensive slogans against Russia”.
According to the interlocutor, currently near the building there is the police, however the entrance is still blocked.
The Russian Embassy in Ukraine specified that “the radicals are members of the Ukrainian nationalistist party National Corpus”
Information on the blockade of Rossotrudnichestvo and the failure of “Total dictation” was published on the Facebook page of the organizer of the Crimean blockade Lenur Islyamov.
On the website of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kiev a short announcement appeared: “There won’t be Total dictation in Kiev”.
As a reminder, Total dictation is an annual educational event in Russia where everyone can write a dictation in Russian, checking their knowledge in the field of spelling. “The motto of this event – write competently – is fashionable. This year Total dictation takes place on April 8th. In the Russian media it was reported that the dictation will be written by 200,000 people in 886 cities worldwide.
Also planned to take place in the building on this day is the conference “Towards peace and creation through spiritual culture”.
Now nationalists entered the compound of Rossotrudnichestvo, blocked all entrances and exits, and then approached the building. They declared that their purpose is to not allow the conference, Total dictation, and other events in Rossotrudnichestvo in Kiev to take place.
