The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is the richest person in Europe, that’s why one shouldn’t write him off, despite his low pre-election approval ratings. This was stated on the air of “Crimea 24” by the former People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev.

“Petro Poroshenko is a very serious player. I and the guys sat and calculated how much money he collected from oligarchs, from different schemes, from smuggling, from deliveries to the army – and it turned out that it is about $20 billion. He is the richest person in Europe.

That’s why one shouldn’t write Poroshenko off, despite his pathetic approval rating. It is very big money with which it is possible to flood Ukraine with,” said Tsarev.

Also the former deputy noted that the US won’t voluntarily leave Ukraine.

“When all this situation started in Ukraine, I spoke to guys who worked in the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation and when I started to say that we within half a year will come back and bring order in Ukraine, one of the veterans told me: ‘Oleg, name me at least one country that the US came and then voluntarily left’. They were thrown out of Vietnam via military force, and I don’t know any other cases,” he said.

“The Americans cling to Ukraine, they count on it not only as a factor of pressure on Russia, but also as a rather serious asset.  Ukrainian chernozems, ports, railroads, atomic industry, and energy – all of this costs decent money,” added Oleg Tsarev.
