I communicate with my colleagues in the Verkhovna Rada. All still say that early parliamentary and presidential elections will be in the autumn. It is said that such a scenario is supported on Bankova Street, that while the topic of the visa-free regime continues to play, and the people haven’t yet understood what they in reality received, and while Poroshenko still preserves at least some rating, it is necessary to hold elections.
But recently it begun to be said that it is possible that Bankova Street will go according to such a scenario: to hold this autumn presidential elections, and only after, for the next spring, to hold parliamentary elections. That allegedly it will allow Poroshenko, in case he is re-elected, to collect more votes in the Verkhovna Rada at parliamentary elections, using the administrative resource. However, he isn’t re-elected, there are also benefits from this kind of elections. If he won’t be re-elected, Poroshenko will economise on the parliamentary electoral campaign. Because if he isn’t re-elected, then it will be necessary to leave the country, instead of holding elections.
