Oleg Tsarev: Poroshenko Against Kolomoisky – The New Fight Begins

Translated by Ollie Richardson & Angelina Siard

The Jewish community of Ukraine found itself in a difficult situation. Searches in the largest synagogue of Eastern Europe in Dnepropetrovsk Menorah will arrive. The cult building was constructed with the decisive financial participation of the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, and some of the rooms were used under his commercial interests. All this happens in the framework of Igor Kolomoisky’s standoff with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

This was stated in an interview to Politnavigator by the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada who supported the uprising in Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev.

According to him, Igor Kolomoisky is the only oligarch who came into the money as a result of a coup in Ukraine. It just doesn’t suit him that he doesn’t earn new money any more. Despite his departure from the territory of Ukraine, the influence of the oligarch only grows, and everything that happens in the Dnepropetrovsk region is under his control.

The nationalization of Privat Bank, belonging to Igor Kolomoisky, led to the fact that the State satisfied the debts of this financial institution, and now the oligarch filed a lawsuit, wishing to return bank his property.

“Kolomoisky has such a characteristic – whatever war there is, he is always in the negotiation process,” said Oleg Tsarev, “now he talks to Poroshenko. He tries to exchange his non-participation in the privatization of the Odessa port plant for the appointment of the governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region”.

Today, for the position of the governor of Dnepropetrovsk Igor Kolomoisky pushes forward the Nazi Yury Bereza who swore fidelity to him. At the same time, following the Ukrainian tradition, everybody swore fidelity to all and wait for an opportunity to betray.

In general, Poroshenko’s interests are in saving the assets seized after the coup d’etat. And these interests completely contradict Igor Kolomoisky’s interests.
