Nadiya Savchenko departure from “Fatherland” suits the leader of this political force, according to Azarov and Tsarev.
Former Ukrainian politicians Mykola Azarov and Oleg Tsarev commented on the departure of the People’s Deputy Nadiya Savchenko from the faction and the ranks of “Fatherland”, reports Life.
Thus, Azarov said that Savchenko absolutely did not correspond to the image carefully crafted by the leader of “Fatherland” Yulia Tymoshenko – an exclusively militarist and uncompromising party.
“Savchenko’s initiatives on a peaceful settlement to the conflict in Donbass harm the militaristic image of “Fatherland”, dilutes the intransigent position of Tymoshenko herself, which she repeatedly expressed,” said Azarov.
At the same time, the former Prime Minister does not believe that Savchenko can become an independent politician.
Oleg Tsarev suggested that Tymoshenko got rid of quite a strong rival. Especially if to take into account the long-standing desire of Yulia Tymoshenko to take the presidency.
“Savchenko was excluded for the reason that for Tymoshenko she poses a big risk. Her rating is growing, everything points towards the fact that she will be the only alternative to the outgoing Petro Poroshenko. Tymoshenko could achieve what what she aimed for all her life — she can become President of Ukraine,” the politician is sure.
