The organizations “Mobius” and “The Russian bridge”, with the support of the Humanitarian battalion of Ireland and England, laid flowers at the permanent exhibition “Immortal Regiment”, which is located at the Irish Military War Museum. The event was organised to mark the 76th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. On this day in 1941 the Nazi invaders treacherously attacked the Soviet Union without declaring war. Also today, the “Immortal Regiment” exhibition was replenished with the new photos of eight veterans, whose descendants live in Ireland now.
Participants of the action noted that such memorable events are very important for the descendants of veterans and for the whole world. We all do not have the right to forget about the crimes of Nazism, otherwise humanity is doomed to repeat those mistakes again and again.
People who passed away probably don’t need it, but it’s necessary for those who are alive.
After the speeches, the Director of the Irish Military War Museum was presented with a letter of gratitude from the Moscow House of Compatriots for his invaluable contribution and assistance in creating the world’s only permanent “Immortal Regiment” exhibition.
