The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak noted the unprecedentedness of the assistance from NATO concerning the issue of reforming the defense opportunities of Ukraine.

“Our cooperation with the Alliance over the last three years assumed a wide scale practically in all directions. Military-political dialogue considerably grew, the ‘Ukraine – NATO’ commission regularly works. We feel very good help concerning issues connected with reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” wrote the Minister on his page on Facebook on September 18th.

The Defence Minister noted the importance of the comprehensive aid package approved in 2016 at a meeting of the Alliance in Poland.

“The consultative help that we receive from partner countries is important. In total in the Ministry of Defence there are 65 advisers who render full assistance with work,” noted S. Poltorak.

According to him, multinational drills that are staged regularly with partners are also important and “accelerate the compatibility of the Ukrainian Armed forces with NATO”.
