The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko awarded the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the former leader of “Right Sector” Dmitry Yarosh the Bogdan Khmelnitsky order of the 3rd class. This was reported on Monday, November 21st, on the website of the President.

Yarosh was awarded “for personal courage, dedication and high professionalism demonstrated while defending state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” it is stated in the decree Poroshenko.

On November 7th, Yarosh declared that he was ready to order Ukrainian nationalists to storm the presidential administration of the country, should the government betray the national interest. “I use all my possibilities to remove it [the Ukrainian government] and replace it with normal people,” he said.

In April the former leader of the extremists reported that Ukraine could disintegrate before the end of 2016. “In the regions people are already want to howl. And I have less and less hope that something can be changed in a constitutional way,” said Yarosh.

In November 2015, Yarosh resigned as the leader of “Right sector”. He had previously led the organization since November 2013.
