The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on new sanctions against Russia which provide for, in particular, the blocking of access to the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.

In addition, access will be blocked to all services of Yandex, except the homepage of the search engine. The text of the decree was published on the official site of the head of State.

Access to social networks is blocked within the framework of restrictions imposed on the Mail.Ru Group. Providers will also have to block access to the website Mail.ru.

The websites of the anti-virus companies Kaspersky Lab and DrWeb will also be blocked.

This is stated in the annex to the decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that it wants to ban the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki on the territory of Ukraine. Also, “Vesti” reported earlier what Ukrainians should prepare for and whether there are ways to bypass the blocking of the websites.

As a reminder, the Russian antivirus producer Kaspersky Lab, its Ukrainian subsidiary, and also one more antivirus producer “Doctor Web” fell under the personal economic sanctions for the annexation of Crimea and aggression against Donbass.
