Ukrainian radicals attacked the Russian Embassy in Kiev. The attack occurred at about midnight, says the website “Strana.ua”. It is reported that they threw firecrackers and fireworks at the building, which resulted in small fires. Also, the website citing eyewitnesses said that the police were not present nearby.

On Sunday, the Russian Embassy should open polling stations for voting in elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, despite the fact that the Ukrainian authorities imposed a ban on the holding of elections in the country.

“Polling stations will be organized. About 80,000 Russian citizens are on the lists of voters,” said Russian diplomats on the eve of the attack.

Earlier, the Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov also confirmed that despite the boycott from the Ukraine elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, they will still be carried out on the territory of Ukraine.
