Representatives of Ukrainian Agricultural Business Blocked the Main Highways in Ukraine

The public organisation “All-Ukrainian Agricultural Council” stated that representatives of the Ukrainian agricultural business blocked the main highways in nine regions of the country.
This was reported on the page of the organisation on Facebook.

It is noted that landowners disagreeing with the tax policy of the State became the reason for the action.

“From 10:30 to 11:30 roads will be blocked in nine regions: Kirovograd, Cherkassy, Kherson, Chernigov, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Rovno, Khmelnytsky, and Poltava,” it is specified in the statement.

It is highlighted that representatives of agricultural business threaten to increase the scale of protests if the authorities don’t agree to compensate them for financial losses.

“Only about 20 people’s deputies came to the podium and announced the demand of farmers to support bill No. 7403-2, which refunds VAT on the export of oilseeds.

We demand on Monday, March 19th, to introduce this draft bill on the agenda, and on Tuesday to pass this bill.

If this does not happen, the act of blocking the main highways of the country will continue and become even larger.”
