“Right Sector” Stormed a City Council Meeting in Dnepropetrovsk, a Local Deputy Opened Fire in Response

In Nikopol in the Dnepropetrovsk region a pistol was fired during an extraordinary session of the City Council on Friday, May 4th.

As the “Nikopol-news” publication reports, at the beginning of the meeting when the agenda had been adopted, representatives of “Right Sector” approached the tribune, and the floor was taken by Tatyana Belaya, who called to change the authorities. Fighting then broke out in the hall. Afterwards the activists came to the tribune and, according to eyewitnesses, poured a packet of kefir on the head of the deputy Aleksandr Rybakov, and then poured Zelenka over the mayor Andrey Fisak.

After this two shots were fired. According to eyewitnesses, one – into the ceiling, and the second – towards activists. The deputy Rybakov had opened fire from a pistol.

The information of the publication was confirmed by the chief of the Nikopol city police station Evgeny Kravtsov. Nobody was wounded. Bullet holes were made in the wall and ceiling. Law enforcement bodies are now establishing all the circumstances of events.
