In Donetsk region a car with five SBU employees – one of which was Colonel Yury Vozny – inside exploded. The photo of the mangled car was published by the Ukrainian media.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 27th, in the Konstantinovka region, reports “Ukrainian Pravda” with reference to the press secretary of the SBU Elena Gitlyanskaya.

According to preliminary data, one employee of the special service was killed, four were wounded. It is known that employees of the department of counterintelligence were in the car. The case is being processed by the military prosecutor’s office.

As the edition notes, judging by the nature of the damage, an explosive device was placed under the car, as a result “all the bottom of the car is blown to pieces”.

Note: this incident should not be confused with the explosion of a Ukrainian intelligence vehicle in Kiev on June 27th, 2017.
