In December employees of the SBU detained three Ukrainians for criticising the authorities on the social network “VKontakte”.
This was reported by journalists of the Ukrainian oppositional publication “Golos Pravdy” with reference to the press service of the SBU.
In the statement it is said that criticising the authorities in our country is “illegal activity”. On these grounds, residents of Odessa, Slavyansk, and Bakhmut were detained.
According to the SBU, these Ukrainians criticised the authorities on social networks, called to stop the war in the Southeast, and to restore normal relations with the residents of Donbass.
SBU employees confiscated computer equipment and mobile devices during searches at the places of residence of the detainees. Their actions are qualified according to Article 109 (actions aimed at a violent change or overthrow of the constitutional system or seizing power), Article 110 (infringement of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), and Article 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organisation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions continue.
