In Odessa a fight broke out on Primorsky Boulevard near the monument to the Duke, where a meeting of the former governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili was planned to begin. This was reported by the correspondent of “Strana” from the place of events.
Near the monument about 200 people gathered for 16:00, people of different age – from youth to pensioners. At the same time, from Ekaterininskaya Street those who oppose the meeting of Saakashvili approached and installed on a car powerful loudspeakers, from which humiliating songs about Saakashvili against the background of the Lezginka, and also the song “Warriors of Light, Warriors of Good” played. The car of opponents of Saakashvili outvoices any performances of his supporters.
The opponents of Saakashvili wore masks of his face and willingly did the “Seig Heil” for journalists.
But the situation remained quiet not for long. Exactly at 16:00 Saakashvili’s opponents rushed with fists towards his supporters.
It should be noted that earlier near the Duke a rather big group of National police – about 40 people – was already equipped. The police tried to separate the fighting.
Among Saakashvili’s opponents “automaidan protesters” and activists from the RGB organization (“Council of Civil Security”) were noticed.
