Ukrainian deputies demand from the secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Aleksandr Turchynov immediate action in connection with the loss of “pro-Ukraine control” in Odessa. This was reported on the Facebook page of the deputy from the “Fatherland” faction Igor Lutsenko.
“I addressed Turchynov together with colleagues from different factions. I ask to initiate a meeting of the NSDC concerning the situation in Odessa, where terror against activists has taken a scale not seen in recent times (numerous attacks on Vitaly Ustimenko, Sergey Sternenko, and others),” wrote Lutsenko.
“We are losing Odessa according to the same scenario as Donbass, only instead of Akhmetov and Yanukovych there is Galanternik and Trukhanov,” added the deputy.
The appeal mentions attacks on “pro-Ukraine civil activists of the city of Odessa with an active and firm anti-Russian position”.
Also, deputies are outraged by the “systemic, engaged support of the authorities of the city of Odessa for pro-Russia events and local anti-Ukraine organisations”, which “testifies to an objective reality that as of now has all the elements of a crisis situation in Odessa”.
“Thus, the state of Ukraine, through official bodies of the public power, de facto gradually loses pro-Ukraine control over the third largest, historically Ukrainian city of Odessa, which, in turn, directly threatens the national interests of Ukraine,” wrote people’s deputies in their appeal to Turchynov.
