Ukraine in November purchased imported natural gas for a record 9471.92 hryvnia, or $339.21 per 1,000 cubic meters.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

“In accordance with the requirements of Subparagraph 252.8 of Article 252 of Section IX “Rent payment” of the Tax Code of Ukraine, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine calculated the average customs value of imported natural gas, formed in the course of its customs clearance during importation to the territory of Ukraine during the period from 01.11.2018 to 30.11.2018, which is 9471.9252 hryvnia or $339.2114 per 1,000 m3″

it is said in the statement

In October the average cost was 9059.1260 hryvnia or $323.4418 per 1,000 cubic meters, and in September it was 8490.3267 hryvnia or $304.3642.

Thus, it is possible to come to the conclusion that the average purchase price of gas imported to Ukraine continues to grow.

In March the commercial director of Naftogaz Yury Vitrenko said that Ukraine buys European gas four times more expensive than Russian gas [in reality Ukraine buys Russian gas just in reverse flow – ed].

Ukraine stopped purchasing Russian gas [see the note above – ed] in November, 2015 and in 2016-2017 it did not use Russian fuel when preparing for the heating season, pumping gas that was purchased in reverse in Europe and stored away.
