In Belaya Tserkov in the Kiev region Ukrainian radical nationalists held a torchlight procession devoted to the uprising of the Sich Riflemen headed by the Colonel of the UPR and founder of OUN Evgeny Konovalets
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the youth wing of the far-right party Svoboda, the “Sokol” civil association.

The nationalists marched from Taras Shevchenko’s bust to the monument to the heavenly hundred and then to the place where there was the printing house that printed the appeal of the Directorate of the UPR 100 years ago.

“It’s not without reason that today we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Sich Riflemen. Such heroes who now, only 100 years ago, fought so that we could exist today, so that we are who we now are, instead of being slaves, just existing, and being destroyed by the Moscow horde,” said the commander of the Kiev branch of “Sokol” Vladimir Nazarenko to the audience.

“100 years ago Ukrainian pliancy and political intrigues called the idea of the existence of Ukrainian statehood into question. It was precisely back then that the order for the future of Ukraine was realised via the hands of militarists! We, youth, will always stand for these principles!” added the head of the Northern district of “Sokol” Yaroslav Latuts.
